TXDOT is having an open house / hearing tomorrow (Feb 21) at the Cedar Park Rec Center regarding the realignment of Hwy 183 / Bell Blvd.
Open House starts at 5:00pm and the formal hearing starts at 6:00pm

The purpose of the hearing is to present the planned improvements and to receive public comment on the proposed project of moving the current Bell Boulevard (US 183) roadway east onto the full extent of Old Highway 183 from Cedar Park Drive to south of Buttercup Creek Boulevard in Cedar Park.

Discussed the possiblility of a basketball goal in Quest Village Park. Explained the research done. Several questions were brought up including exact location of goal, and actual cost to HOA. Some concerns brought up included increased traffic and parking limitations. HOA will contact city to find exact location.

With Spring Cleaning in full swing, this is a good reminder of what can and can't be set at the curb. Remember to set out your trash no earlier than Tuesday and take in your trash and recycling on Wednesday.

For the week of December 25 through December 29, trash and recycling collection will slide by one day and run Tuesday through Saturday. For example, Monday trash and recycling will be collected on Tuesday and so on – through Saturday.

Upcoming events:
For those that are new, or not so new, to Quest Village and Cedar Park, a little history of the Heritage Oak near the library and Police department.
The tree itself is about 400 years old, 50 feet tall, and is covered with 30,000 lights each December. Some live oaks live to be 1,000 years old. Coming soon to the Heritage Oak is the annual tree lighting and Santa's Workshop.

What: Tree lighting and Santa’s Workshop
When: December 9th, 6:30-9 p.m.
Where: 875 Quest Parkway, Cedar Park (Heritage Oak Park near the police station and post office)
Visitors can see the lighting of the tree, listen to live music, ride on carriages, play games, win prizes, and take photos with Santa Claus.
Also, the Official Cedar Park Flag will be unveiled!
Parking is available at the Library and the County Annex.
